Mandela, 93, leaves hospital after minor surgery (AP)

Journalists wait outside 1 Military Hospital in Pretoria shortly before it was announced that former President Nelson Mandela had been discharged from an undisclosed hospital, February 26, 2012. Mandela was discharged from hospital on Sunday after getting the all-clear from doctors who treated him for long-standing abdominal pains, President Jacob Zuma's office said. A statement said tests AP - Former President Nelson Mandela was released from the hospital Sunday after an overnight stay for minor diagnostic surgery to determine the cause of an abdominal complaint, a spokesman for the country's current leader said.
